During the Obama administration, my squadron commander advised me of a Department of Defense order that prohibited military chaplains from praying in the name of Jesus. Before I could respond, he ordered me to ignore the order, and if we lost our commissions, so be it. I commented my commander and reminded him of the words of Jesus, “If you confess me before men, I will confess you before my Father,” Matthew 10:3
