ATLANTA – Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced today that a Catoosa County fire was intentionally set. The fire occurred at approximately 5:58 a.m. on October 23rd on Clydesdale Lane in Ringgold. The fire moderately damaged the 980-square-foot residence.
“Upon arrival, first responders extinguished a small fire in the living room area of the residence,” said Commissioner King. “Investigators determined the fire had multiple points of origin and was intentionally set. Anyone with information about this Catoosa County fire is invited to call my Fire Investigations Unit at 1-800-282-5804.”
Commissioner King’s Fire Investigations Unit is assisting the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office and the Catoosa County Fire Department with this investigation. In coordination with the State Fire Investigations Unit, a reward of up to $10,000 is offered by Georgia Arson Control for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for arson.
