CATOOSA COUNTY, Ga. – According to Sheriff Gary R. Sisk, on Sunday, March 8, 2026, deputies responded to a report of shots fired at a residence located at 1623 Mack Smith Road, Rossville, GA. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with Mr. William Woodall, a 75-year-old male, who was located outside the residence.
Deputies then entered the home and located the victim, Carrie Ann Woodall, a 53-year-old female, inside, still alive but suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head. A neighbor had arrived prior to deputies and was rendering aid to the victim at the time officers arrived.
