GEORGIA – Retired Brigadier General Jonathan McColumn is bringing a message of “Back to the Basics” to Georgia voters as he campaigns for the U.S. Senate, promoting what he describes as a constitutional, compassionate, and conservative vision for the country.
McColumn, a retired U.S. Army officer with 35 years of military service, says his campaign is rooted in faith, constitutional principles, fiscal responsibility, and strengthening American families. His platform emphasizes a “Biblical Worldview,” support for veterans, economic affordability, border security, and reducing the national debt.

McColumn also advocates for returning to what he calls traditional constitutional values, including stronger fiscal oversight in government, balanced budgeting, accountability under the rule of law, and prioritizing benefits for U.S. citizens.
A Georgia Republican, McColumn points to his extensive military and leadership experience as a foundation for his candidacy. During his Army career, he commanded organizations of more than 6,000 personnel and directed logistics and contracting support operations serving over 25,000 U.S. and coalition forces overseas.
